The Kinsmen Dream Home Lottery raises $670,000 for local charities

Earlier this year, the Kinsmen Dream Home Lottery took place, wherea 24-year-old Kingston woman, Yixuan Li, was drawn as the winner of this year’s Kinsmen Dream Home.

Li became the new owner of a home valued at 1.5 million dollars located on a two-acre lot on Balsam Lane in South Frontenac Township, 25 minutes North of Kingston.

This morning, Sean and Joel from the Kinsmen Club of Kingston joined the Fresh Morning Show, where they revealed that $670,000 was raised from this year’s lottery, which is up significantly from the last draw, which brought in $405,000.

The proceeds from the dream home raffle went to help a number of charities in Kingston, which include:

1) Boys and Girls Club – $100,000
2) Camp Maple Leaf – $80,000
3) Canadian Cancer Society – $50,000
4) Partners in Mission Food Bank – $35,000
5) St Vincent De Paul – $60,000
6) CNIB – $37,500
7) CF – $41,660
8) Loving Spoonful – $20,000
9) YMCA – $130,840
10) Girls Inc – $50,000
11) Interval House – $30,000
12) Martha’s Table – $35,000
