Adam Levine addresses Super Bowl controversy

Adam Levine sat down with Entertainment Tonight to address the controversy surrounding the band’s decision to perform in the 2019 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

The interview with Kevin Frazier will be the only media appearance that Levine will make ahead of the band’s performance on Sunday.

A number of celebrities plan on boycotting the Super Bowl this year due to the NFL’s treatment of Colin Kaepernick.  The football player has not played professionally in years following his decision to kneel during the American Anthem in protest of police brutality.

There were some reports that Rihanna and Cardi B both declined to appear at the halftime show, reportedly to demonstrate solidarity with Kaepernick.

Maroon 5 will be joined by Outkast’s Big Boi, and Travis Scott this Sunday.
