We are very happy to announce that the Franco-Foire will finally make its return in person this year. The event will take place on Saturday, October 15, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Kingston East Community Center (779 Highway 15).
The Franco-Foire des affaires et services en français is an annual fair that has been organized by the Association canadienne-française de l’Ontario, Conseil régional des Mille-Îles (ACFOMI) since 1997. A festive and relaxed event, it aims to promote the products and services offered in French that are available in the Kingston and Thousand Islands region.
For the occasion, more than thirty exhibitors representing businesses and services in the region will be present. In addition, we will offer visitors a variety of activities for people of all age. A children’s show entitled “Amandine et Rosalie” presented at 11:00 a.m. by the Centre culturel Frontenac, a presentation of the ExpressiON Danse program at Marie-Rivier Catholic high school, a collective work of art offered by the teachers and students of the Eastern Ontario Public School Board and face painting are among the activities. A photo booth will be on site to create unforgettable memories of the Franco-Foire.
