Bladder Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM), May, is here!

Each May we focus on promoting causes, symptoms of bladder cancer, and Bladder Cancer Canada free services including the Online Patient Forum, our patient telephone peer support program and patient guidebook distribution. all funded in part by our community and sponsors.

Throughout the month, Bladder Cancer Canada will be posting across social media, hosting patient features, podcasts, and promoting programs and services. Be sure to ‘Like’ our Kingston Facebook page, “Bladder Cancer Canada Awareness – Kingston” to read more of our BCAM news!

May 2nd, starting at dusk, the KIngston City Hall will be fading between red and yellow We often use yellow, the normal color of urine with a touch of red symbolizing blood to emphasize this slogan – “If you See Red – See Your Doctor”. In most cases, blood in the urine (hematuria) is the first sign of bladder cancer.
